TOO LATE THE PHALAROPE
Alan Paton, hardback, 1953

The setting is South Africa, the tragedy of a white man who for complicated reasons, some of them not unconnected with his childhood and training, succumbs to the very temptations which might have been thought strong enough to resist.

Though the story could have had no other setting than South Africa, its application is universal.

Hardback, used, very good condition.
